Hair Products
-Wash with sulfate free shampoo and conditioner
-Oil the hair daily as it does not get natural oils from your head
Water
-If you are having trouble with discoloration, please check that you don’t have hard water
-The best option for all hair (including natural hair) is to use some type of water softener
Sleeping
-Before bed, braid your hair to sleep with your hair loosely braided throughout the night
-You may also sleep in a LOOSE bun if that is more comfortable for you
-Sleeping on a satin pillowcase is recommended but not required
Swimming & Sunscreen
-When swimming, it is a good practice to use a good conditioner on your hair (such as a leave-in conditioner)
-Wearing your hair in a high bun or braid offers extra protection
-Be aware: wearing sunscreen every day on their face which contain avobenzene will cause the extensions to turn a peachy, pink color when in contact with the sunscreen
-This discoloration is impossible to remove (which in turn means you need new hair)
Brushing
-When brushing your hair, make sure to hold at the base of the weft to not pull the natural hair
-Brush multiple times a day, if possible, but at least brush in the morning and before bed
Blondies and Bleach
-Especially for blonde or lighter colored hair, sunscreens with avobenzene will cause the extensions to turn a peachy, pink color which is impossible to remove (which in turn means you need new hair)
-It is not recommended to bleach the extensions, however, they may be rooted or colored to match the desired look
